Environmental Technician

Graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s in Oceanography (2014), from the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), with professional practice at the Laboratory of Microalgae Production at the Instituto de Investigaciones Oceanológicas (IIO).

Graduated with honors with a Master’s of Science in Coastal Oceanography (2017), with a thesis project about the effects of the dissolved organic matter produced by oysters in the growth rate and toxicity of harmful dinoflagellates. Member of the NF-POGO Alumni Network for Oceans and member of the Red Temática sobre Florecimientos Algales Nocivos (RedFAN), since 2015.

Member of the Asociación de Oceanólogos de México, A.C. (ASOCEAN) since 2016. Coauthor in eight national presentations and one international in oceanography and marine ecology conferences. Research internships at the Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas del Noroeste (CIB), La Paz, México (2012) and at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS), Australia (2015).

Technician in samplings and field experiments in seagrass meadows in the Pacific of Baja California.(2012-2014). Participation in more than twenty oceanographic samplings in the Pacific of Baja California and two cruises in the Gulf of Mexico.

Environmental technician at the IIO in 2013 and at Lorax Consultores from 2016 to present date, participating in environmental impact projects in the coasts of Baja California, Sinaloa, Jalisco, and Tabasco.
